| Brentwood-Westwood Symphony Orchestra PHOTOGRAPHY School Visit in April 2002 |

Mr. Mills encourages many young musicians. "This is an anti-aging orchestra," he says. As you enter the lobby on concert day, you will see on the walls tens of and hand written letters with crayon drawn portraits of Maestro Mills and several of his players. Those are thank-you notes received over the past eight years. When the symphony is not performing and rehearsing, Alvin and selected musicians can be found in elementary schools across Los Angeles. Mr. Mills initiated a Music Education Outreach Program which brings music into classrooms of schools where music has been deleted from the curriculum. | ||
| This particular event was at the Brockton School in West Los Angeles on the 4th of April 2002. Ten musicians from the Brentwood-Westwood Symphony Orchestra played several pieces for the children. | ![]() Brockton School 4 Apr 2002 |
